Problem

Field & Fern's growers worked in low-connectivity rural areas and needed to log observations, photos, and harvest data in real time. Their existing tool was web-only, slow on cellular, and required double entry back at the office.

Solution

We built a React Native + Expo app with an offline-first local store, a sync engine that reconciles cleanly when the device comes back online, and a role-based admin surface. Push notifications alert field leads to time-sensitive tasks.

Plyform: Untangling a fast-growing React platform

Problem

Plyform had grown from 8 to 80 customers in 18 months. The codebase — a single Next.js monolith with three flavors of state management — was buckling. Production incidents averaged three a week, and the team was burning out.

Solution

We led a phased migration: introduced typed API contracts, split the monolith into three well-bounded services, replaced the ad-hoc state with TanStack Query, and shipped a component library built on Radix + Tailwind. Paired with Plyform's engineers throughout.

Problem

Northwind's operations team lived in spreadsheets. Membership, inventory, orders, and finance were each tracked in a different workbook maintained by a different person. Reconciliation at month-end took two full days and frequently disagreed with itself.

Solution

We built a Postgres-backed dashboard with role-based views for membership, ops, and finance. Real-time inventory updates, a CSV import pathway for legacy data, and PDF exports that match the format their auditor already expected.
